2014 WIP Wednesday #2

So I started yet another Baby Surprise Jacket, this one in I hope a gender neutral colourway for a baby shower next week. The baby is due in July and so I'm thinking a cardi to fit a 3-6 month old would be just right. The yarn is Gina from Plymouth Yarn, number 12 colourway. I bought 3 skeins at my new LYS Driftwood Yarns, Mystic CT. It's a worsted weight yarn and after knitting for a while with my usual 160 stitch cast on, I thought it was looking frogged and started with the smallest size, a mere 136 stitches.
Now of course I'm worried that it may be too small.......isn't it amazing how this folds into

this? Apologies for the upside down photo. Just the icord bind-off and extending the sleeves await, perhaps it will be an FO on Friday.
Sadly our almost 11 year old Mini Aussie has been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, he has a large tumour under his right ear. Tomorrow we have a consultation with a vet oncologist. Sad times.

I'm linking into WIP Wednesday, go check-out the other WIPs

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy. I hope everything works out alright. I found your site from Tami's Amis. I love the little sweater.
